A landmine industry site operating at significant depth faced extremely poor illumination with high energy consumption. LAVA LED replaced high-wattage fixtures with energy-efficient lighting, dramatically increasing lux levels while reducing total connected load and improving operational visibility.
Deep-Site Lighting Assessment And LED Optimization Implementation
- Assessed 800m deep site conditions
- Measured existing illumination and wattage load
- Installed optimized LAVA LED fixtures
The site, spanning 800 meters in depth and 1 kilometer in width, operated with six 350W fixtures delivering only 3 lux illumination. After technical evaluation, six 100W LAVA LED fixtures were installed. The upgrade significantly increased brightness while reducing total energy load from 2100W to 600W.
High Illumination Achieved With Major Energy Reduction
The previous setup consumed 2100 watts and delivered only 3 lux. The new 600-watt LAVA LED system delivers approximately 150 lux. This resulted in a 71.43% reduction in wattage consumption while drastically improving visibility and operational lighting performance.
